Pure CSS3 Bitmaps
These bitmap graphics are drawn entirely with CSS gradients: no images, no canvas, no data URIs and no extra markup.

A Braun inspired clock created without images: lots of CSS tricks, canvas generated noise and a bit of JavaScript.
